Movies, Toy Story 3

I went to see a movie on Tuesday which is kinda out of the ordinary for me, It's kinda like a big event for me to see a movie. The last thing I remember actually wanting to go out and see was wall-e or whatever that was and the movie before that I can’t even remember. Off hand I’m unable to like movies cuz one of the main things I look for is some character development and for me two-ish hours just isn’t enough for me to care when someone dies or betrays or other supposedly awesome plot details unfold. Though I tend to like comedy cartoon kinda stuff so toy story was perfect and seeing as I had seen the first 2 movies and enjoyed them. I decided to go with my sister, who was really looking forward to it, at the cinema. What I experienced summed up is:

- Lines lots and lots of lines, one for getting a ticket, one for waiting to get mac donalds, one very long one for popcorn and one to enter the movie at the spot where they check you ticket and send you to the room which I find pretty ridiculous I mean seriously how long does it take to rip tickets?

- A missing toilet doors, which I didn’t notice until liz pointed them out

- Guards. There were guards to prevent ppl from just going from one movie to another which I thought was pretty out of the ordinary and sad.

- A fantastic toy story. I was surprised at how much of the content was directed to an older audience. It made me feel good like they haven’t forgotten about their aging audience.

- REX IS AWESOME! (and Ken!)

- A crying baby in isle I, I think it was. May you shut up next time.

- A chocolate nipple.

I still can’t get over the ticket tearing ppl… I mean if I had their jobs I would be over the moon! I mean who doesn’t like tearing up paper? If I were left along I would throw the paper into the air in confetti like fashion and bask in the explosion of torn papery goodness. I mean tearing tickets does seem kind of fun… Right?

Cooking Time! Chawan-mushi!

Yep, so recently i decided to try my had at making a Japanese savory egg flan like thing... i dunno but it's nice! They came out really well only thing that is a bit bad is that they're slightly a little too salty but considering it's the first time i'm not too shattered. It was kinda interesting cuz one of the ingredients was mirin (japanese cooking alcohol) and that stuff tastes really nice on it's own... it's got a really nice sweetness. Course i didn't drink a cup of it or anything but yeah.

Photos from my phone! They're not too good but you get the picture... I can't find my digital camera...

There was originally 5 cups but i didn't think of taking a photo until later... =w=

The whole batch is gone now so i might try to make some more pretty soon and try to master the taste and then i can get the presentation down!

4 Months later...

February the 17th… storms… lost drawings that I poured my sweat tears and blood into… they’re lookin like seaweed now… yeah…

I still haven’t opened my window ever since that incident… well there has been a massive 4 month gap and I guess not much has happened after the first semester of uni life (although it’s not quite over I have an exam tomorrow on 3D modeling). When I found out that I would only spend about 2-3 days at uni every week I was pretty much thrilled thinking that I would be able to draw and create some awesome things to look at it’s a little sad to realise that I have spent about a single day that comes to immediate memory where I drew something.

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised I mean seeing as how uncommitted I am to self goals it really shouldn’t come to much surprise when I don’t draw or meet up with old people I know. *cries at one’s own anti-socialism*

Well whatever I will make this my starting point and will get back into the swing of things! I will get back to drawing! (and now cram some info into my dense skull…)

Storms... TwT

Happy Lunar New Years! Late but better than never! So about something that happened a couple of days before New Year’s that’s caused much grief. Ultimately resulting in me migrating from my room to the room with the ps3 which I’m not complaing about now, but still to be booted out of your of room is a little... Well anyway other people who live in Melbourne “should” know what I’m talking about. The storm that hit not too long ago and what it did to my living quarters...

I recently developed, what I thought was a good habit... of opening the window when I left my room in the summer. This was because! My room is located on side of the house that the sunset hits which means that if I don’t open up my room and leave it shut all day, when I enter my room at the end of the day the room becomes a lot like the average family car that gets left in the parking lot of a shopping centre on a hot summer day, just without a dead forgotten baby in the backseat.

But apparently that’s not the best thing to do considering a storm hit while I was out getting a lamp shade for my dog (cute little v@g!n@ licking/biting bitch). TwT the rain practically soaked more than 50% of my room, unfortunately I don’t have a photo of because I did the normal thing someone should do which is salvage what I could and attempt to dry up the damn place... There were some major casualties...

Photobucket

(Lots of “heavy rain” caused this... (I want that game...) My laptop wouldn’t turn on for a while too... I hate the rain...)

It would have been fine if it was normal rain but this was a storm and because I live out in a hole, there’s clay and other smelly crap that mixed with the horizontally falling rain which made my room smell like a rat’s ass so it was kinda stupid to spend the night in there... the water that I was draining out of the carpet was brown too... TwT

To fix things I took a walk down the cleaning isle of coles and there is so much variety and in my confusing I grabbed 3 different products, a foaming carpet cleaner that doesn’t need scrubbing, air refreshing slash mould prevention spray, and this weird powder that you sprinkle on the carpet and vacuum up. The first thing I tried was the foaming carpet cleaner. I mean who could resist the mental image of shaving foam all over the floor and the awesome irrelevant picture of a teddy bear on the product?

Photobucket

(The cleaning team, Awesome designs...)

It breathed a new life into my carpet! But it still smelled like crap... but the carpet’s so springy and fresh! I can’t believe I used the whole can!

Photobucket

(I was so tempted to walk in this you can’t understand...)

I still haven’t used the powder that you sprinkle yet things are smelling ok but i’m still sleeping outside just because I don’t trust my room yet. I’m salvaging the picture that was sketched and got wet but I don’t have any intention of finishing it till I get moved back into my room which I should do soon to get back into drawing if I wanna get better... =w=”

On a side note mum has burned food 3 times since the new years has started, p.b and myself are convinced that it means burnt food for the rest of the year here is just one. Prawns left on the stove for the whole day.
