Eggling - Day 1

Yo sup been ages i know cbf talking about whats been happening gonna talk about the now which is the Eggling! YAYYYYY!

My sister was buying kk presents for people and i saw one that i liked so she gave it to me! =]

Now to document it's life! *puts on lab coat and professor type glasses*

So pretty much if you couldn't tell from the picture the Eggling is a plant in an egg, there's all sort of varieties form looking on their official site. Coincidentally enough i'm pretty happy getting the strawberry one cuz of the little bit of guilt i have in letting my strawberry patch die cuz of my neglect back in my last year of highshool. So pretty happy to get a chance to work with the little red berries again. They're from japan too! どうぞよろしく~

I really should have taken more photos but i wasn't planning to blog about this at the start. initially you get an egg and you're meant to crack off the top. From my experiences with egg shells you either get the ones where they just wont crack on the side of the bowl and you get the ones that are fragile as fuck so based on this i was gently tapping the top of the egg (that i didn't know was made of clay at first... fail...) and made an opening of like half a centimeter in diameter then read on the net that a hole of 2.5cm to 3.5cm is recommended...

Well everything is set up and it's sitting on my window sill, gonna move it in the mornings to the other side of the house to get morning sun, cuz i take care of my little Eggling. If i can wake up... O|¯|_

So here is Eggling, for lack of creative names, on my clean pristine windowsill + seashell. That cloudy stuff in there is the dissolvable paper that the seeds where in. Cuz i watered slowly the paper started melting and the seeds got blown off position... had to move them back in the center with my 2H pencil... now it's all wet lol. If i was to do this again i would probably water it back when i had a little hole so i could pour a lot of water in at once instead of random spouts of water pushing the seedlings everywhere.

Hopefully all is good and i get to save that extra packed of seeds they provide just in case it fails. then i can plant more strawberries! Will be back when it germinates!
